Introduced in 2015, the OysterFlex is Rolex's answer to modern rubber-strap trends — but engineered with Rolex precision. A flexible titanium-nickel alloy blade runs through the center, coated in high-performance black elastomer. The result: metal-bracelet security with rubber-strap comfort.
Rolex Reinvents the Rubber Strap
For decades, Rolex was a metal-bracelet-only brand. When luxury competitors embraced rubber straps — Audemars Piguet with the Royal Oak Offshore, Hublot with the Big Bang — Rolex stayed course. Then in 2015, they surprised everyone with the OysterFlex on the Yacht-Master Everose, proving they'd simply been waiting until they could do it their way.
The OysterFlex isn't a simple rubber strap. Inside each band is a superelastic metal blade made from a titanium-nickel alloy, providing the same secure attachment as a metal bracelet. The exterior is high-performance black elastomer with a patented longitudinal cushion system on the inner surface for ventilation and comfort.
Our super clone OysterFlex bracelet replicates the flex characteristics, the inner cushion system, and the Oysterlock clasp at the end. It's available on Yacht-Master, Daytona, and Sky-Dweller models — the same configurations offered by Rolex. The comfort is remarkable, especially in warm weather.
