The 116618LN is what happens when you take a no-nonsense tool watch and make it out of solid 18k yellow gold. Sounds over the top - and it kind of is - but somehow it works. The black dial keeps it from looking too flashy.
That black Cerachrom bezel with gold minute markers is a nice touch. The numerals are actually set into the ceramic and coated with a thin gold layer. It's the kind of detail you don't notice until someone points it out.
Despite all that gold, this is still a proper tool watch. 300m water resistance, Triplock crown, unidirectional dive bezel - everything you'd expect from a Submariner. The Oyster bracelet in matching gold has the Glidelock extension system.
