About the GMT-Master
Developed for Pan American Airways pilots in 1955, the GMT-Master tracks multiple time zones simultaneously. Our super clone replicates the iconic two-tone Cerachrom bezel, independent GMT hand, and the legendary 'Pepsi', 'Batman', and 'Root Beer' colorways.
Born in the Skies
The original GMT-Master was created at Pan Am's request — their pilots needed to track both local time and GMT simultaneously during transatlantic flights. Rolex delivered with a fourth hand and a 24-hour rotating bezel, creating the world's first true pilot's GMT watch.
The GMT-Master II, introduced in 1983, added an independently adjustable hour hand, allowing wearers to track three time zones at once. Its two-tone ceramic bezels — the blue-red 'Pepsi', blue-black 'Batman', and brown-black 'Root Beer' — have become some of the most coveted color combinations in watchmaking.
Our super clone GMT-Master II features the same two-color Cerachrom bezel technology with the characteristic color transition at 6/18. The independent jumping hour hand works exactly as intended, and the Jubilee or Oyster bracelet options are faithful to the current production references.
