About the Rolex Daytona Superclone
Most Daytona buyers already know the one to get. Steel Panda 126500LN, white dial, black sub-dials. Three to five year waitlist at the authorized Rolex shop, and the rare dials — meteorite, Ice Blue, Le Mans — are closed lists. We have all 51 current Daytona references on the shelf. Panda white, Panda black, John Mayer green gold 126508, Le Mans 126529LN, the two-tone 126503, rose gold on Oysterflex rubber. The replica Rolex Daytona ships as Superclone only, Swiss Caliber 4130-clone chronograph from $1,359. One collection we price above the rest.

Why the Daytona Became Impossible to Buy
Rolex put the first Cosmograph Daytona out in 1963. Racing chronograph, named after the Daytona International Speedway in Florida where Rolex had just become the official timekeeper. First ten years on the market, it was the slowest-selling Rolex in the catalog. Dealers marked them down, bundled them with other watches to clear stock. Collectors joke now that it was a thousand-dollar watch nobody wanted.
Then Paul Newman got photographed wearing one with the exotic dial his wife had given him. Italian collectors spotted it first, gave the dial his name, and prices started climbing. His personal Daytona sold at auction in 2017 for $17.8 million, the highest price for any wristwatch at the time. A plain production Daytona from the 1970s now sells for $40,000. The modern steel Panda has a three-to-five-year waitlist at the authorized shop. Rolex keeps production below demand on purpose. Same watch the dealers couldn't give away fifty years ago, now impossible to walk in and buy.
Our 51 super clone Rolex Daytona references cover the whole current lineup. Start with the white Panda 126500LN — every collector will tell you the same thing. The black-dial version of the same reference is the second pick if you like dark dials. After those two, the two-tone 126503 in steel and yellow gold for something dressier. The green-dial John Mayer 126508 is here, the one he wore on Hodinkee's Talking Watches show that made the reference famous. Le Mans 126529LN with the black ceramic bezel and red accents is in stock. Godzilla sundust, real meteorite dial, chocolate, Ice Blue, all on the shelf. The rose gold references on Oysterflex rubber are here too. Every one ready to ship in 24 hours with no waitlist.
What we copy and what we don't. Case shape, 40mm silhouette, Cerachrom monobloc ceramic bezel with the tachymetric scale engraved into the ceramic itself, 904L Oystersteel finish, Triplock screw-down pushers, sapphire crystal, three sub-dial layout at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, Oyster bracelet or Oysterflex strap. All of that lines up with the real 126500LN. The chronograph works. Top pusher starts the seconds hand, press again to stop, bottom pusher resets, 30-minute counter at 9 and 12-hour counter at 6 both track real time. Not a printed-on decoration. The one gap is the movement itself. Real Daytona runs Rolex's in-house Caliber 4130 with column wheel and vertical clutch, gives that instant start-stop feel. Then in 2023 Rolex dropped the updated Caliber 4131 on the 126500LN 60th-anniversary piece. Same architecture underneath — column wheel, vertical clutch — but they opened up the caseback for the first time. Sapphire back, visible movement. First Daytona you can see through. Chinese factories had the 4131 clone running about a year after the real one hit. Our Superclone matches the caseback by reference: 126500LN and other 2023+ pieces run the 4131-clone with the open back, older 116500LN and earlier pieces run the 4130-clone under a solid back. Close, not identical. Wrist-test nobody can tell. Pusher-click test next to a real one, the real one feels slightly crisper. Honest gap. Same reason we don't offer the Daytona as Replica with a Miyota — the pusher feel is the whole experience of the watch, and a Miyota chronograph has soft-feeling pushers. On a Submariner that gap doesn't show up because the movement is invisible. On a Daytona the pushers are the watch.
What You Get With a Rolex Daytona Superclone
Superclone Daytona from $1,359
Swiss Caliber 4130-clone with column wheel and vertical clutch. Only collection we price above the rest — a working chronograph movement has roughly double the parts of a time-only automatic.
Chronograph That Actually Works
Top pusher starts the seconds hand, press again to stop, bottom pusher resets. 30-minute and 12-hour counters both track real time. Not printed-on decoration.
Skip the Five-Year Waitlist
Authorized Rolex waitlist on a steel Panda is three to five years. Rare dials are closed lists. Everything we sell ships in 24 hours.
Cerachrom Ceramic Bezel
Monobloc ceramic with the tachymetric scale engraved into the ceramic itself, same as the real 126500LN. Won't scratch on desk use, won't fade in sunlight.
904L Oystersteel
Hard corrosion-resistant alloy, same spec Rolex uses. Correct weight and polish on the wrist, which is where cheap fakes miss completely.
Every Dial on the Shelf
Panda white, Panda black, John Mayer green gold, Le Mans, Godzilla sundust, meteorite, chocolate, Ice Blue, two-tone steel-gold. The dials the authorized dealer will never sell you are the ones we keep in stock.
Daytona Replica — Frequently Asked Questions
Does the chronograph on the Daytona Superclone actually work?
Yes, fully. Top pusher at 2 o'clock starts the central seconds hand sweeping. Press again, it stops where it is. Bottom pusher at 4 o'clock resets all three chronograph hands to zero. The 30-minute counter at 9 o'clock advances every thirty seconds, the 12-hour counter at 6 tracks longer runs. Working mechanical chronograph, Swiss Caliber 4130-clone or 4131-clone depending on the reference, column-wheel architecture. Closer to the real pusher feel than anything else we've tested.
What is the Caliber 4131 and does the Superclone have it?
Caliber 4131 is the 2023 update to the Daytona movement. Rolex shipped it first on the 126500LN 60th-anniversary reference. Column wheel, vertical clutch, 72-hour reserve — all same as the 4130. What changed is the back. First Daytona with an open sapphire caseback. You can see the movement running. Chinese factories had the 4131 clone shipping about a year after Rolex launched the real one. Our Superclone Daytona on the 126500LN and other 2023+ references runs the 4131-clone with the same open caseback. Older 116500LN and earlier references still run the 4130-clone under a solid back.
Why is the super clone Rolex Daytona more expensive than the Submariner?
A working chronograph movement has roughly double the parts of a time-only automatic. Column wheel, vertical clutch, reset-to-zero mechanism, counter wheels — dozens more components than a standard ETA clone. The movement supplier charges us about twice as much per piece. That cost goes into the price. $1,359 for the Superclone Daytona, $339 to $999 for non-chronograph collections. Only model in the whole catalog we price above the standard line. Nothing clever about it.
Why don't you sell the Daytona as Replica with a Japanese Miyota?
The Daytona is a chronograph. The whole experience of wearing one is the pusher click. A Miyota chronograph works mechanically but the click feels soft compared to a column-wheel 4130-clone. On a Submariner or a Datejust the movement is invisible under the dial, so Miyota vs. Swiss doesn't show up on the wrist. On a Daytona the pushers are the watch. We decided a soft-pusher Daytona wasn't worth selling, so we only ship it on the Swiss tier.
Why is the real Rolex Daytona almost impossible to buy?
Rolex makes fewer Daytonas than the market wants. Authorized dealers hand allocations to existing customers with long purchase histories. Walk in off the street as a new buyer, your realistic waitlist for a steel 126500LN Panda is three to five years. Meteorite dial, Ice Blue dial, closed lists. Steel Panda retails around $15,000 at the shop, same-day resale is $35,000 to $45,000. In the 1970s nobody wanted the Daytona when it was freely available. Current Rolex playbook is the reverse — keep it feeling impossible to get, because impossible-to-get is what makes people want it.
Which replica Rolex Daytona should I actually buy?
Buy the white Panda 126500LN. Every collector will tell you the same thing. The Panda is the Daytona. Goes with everything, never feels tired, still looks right in five years. Black Panda is the second pick if you prefer dark dials, and it's just as good. After those two, the two-tone steel and yellow gold 126503 for something dressier. The John Mayer green gold is beautiful but loud — green dial plus yellow gold case is a lot for daily wear, and most people get bored of it faster than they expect. Godzilla sundust, meteorite, chocolate are specialty buys, only after you already own a Panda. Le Mans is a collector piece, gorgeous but niche. Start with the Panda.
Is the Paul Newman Daytona available as a replica?
Not from us, and here's the honest reason. The Paul Newman Daytona is a specific vintage reference — 6239, 6241, 6262 — from the 1960s and 1970s, with the exotic dial Rolex only fitted to a small number of watches. Auction prices are six and seven figures. All the value comes from vintage patina, case wear, provenance. A new replica can't reproduce those things honestly. Our catalog is current-production Daytona only. Closest modern relative to what Newman wore is the 126500LN Panda, which is what we'd tell you to buy.
What is the John Mayer Daytona?
Reference 126508 in solid 18K yellow gold with the bright green dial. John Mayer wore it on Hodinkee's Talking Watches show. That episode turned an obscure allocation reference into one of the most-searched Daytonas on the internet almost overnight. The green is a real grass green, catches light in a way nothing else in the Daytona line does. We stock the fake Rolex Daytona John Mayer as Superclone with Swiss 4130-clone from $1,359. Case plating is heavy gold matched to the weight and surface feel of the real thing, not solid 18K. If it were solid gold the price would be $15,000.
