Measure your wristThe Deepsea was Rolex's 2008 answer to extreme-depth diving, rated to 3,900m versus the standard Submariner's 300m. Reference 116660 introduced the Ringlock System: a nitrogen-alloyed steel compression ring inside the case that supports a 5mm-thick sapphire crystal and grade-5 titanium caseback, distributing pressure across three load-bearing components rather than the case walls alone.
44mm 904L steel case, considerably thicker than a standard Submariner at around 17.7mm top-to-bottom. Black Cerachrom unidirectional bezel with platinum-coated numerals (PVD on the replica). Maxi-dial layout in matte black, oversized lume plots, Chromalight-style blue afterglow. Mercedes hour hand sized to match the broader dial.
