The "Root Beer" nickname dates to the 1970s, when collectors christened the brown-and-gold GMT-Master 1675/3 and 16753 after the soda's color profile. Rolex revived the lineage in 2018 with 126711CHNR, swapping the original gilt tones for an Everose-and-steel Rolesor case paired with a bi-color Cerachrom bezel (CHNR = chocolat-noir, brown over black).
40mm Oystersteel case with Everose-plated crown, bezel edge, and centre bracelet links. Glossy black dial, applied Everose-tone hour markers, Chromalight-style lume. The 24-hour GMT hand reads in Everose against the brown upper half of the bezel and black lower half, the split falling at the 6/18 axis.
