The Cellini name traces back to Benvenuto Cellini, the 16th-century Florentine goldsmith, and Rolex has used it since 1968 for its dress-watch line. Reference 50505 launched in 2014 as the Cellini Time, the simplest of the modern Cellini trio (Time, Date, Dual Time).
39mm case in 904L steel-tone with polished finish throughout, double bezel (a smooth domed inner ring with a fluted outer edge, subtle and not Datejust-aggressive). White lacquered dial, applied faceted baton indices, slim alpha-style hands, small seconds register absent on this Time variant.
Brown leather strap with alligator-grain embossing, steel pin buckle. Japanese Miyota 9015 at the $359 tier, Swiss clone movement at $999. Sapphire crystal, domed to match the case profile. Sits flat under a cuff at roughly 9.5mm thick.
