The Cellini name traces to Benvenuto Cellini, the 16th-century Florentine goldsmith, and Rolex has used it since 1968 for the dress line that sits outside the Oyster catalogue. Reference 50509 launched in 2014 as the time-only entry in the modern Cellini family, originally cased in 18k white gold. Our version substitutes 904L steel for everyday wear, keeping the proportions identical.
